OCCC Traffic Operations

The Orange County Convention Center's Transportation Division provides the following traffic operation services in support of event activity.

Directional Signage
The Transportation Division maintains and operates a $4.5 million dollar electronic road signage system referred to as the Dynamic Messaging System (or DMS).  Seventeen (17) DMS boards are located throughout the Convention Center district (including I-Drive and Universal Blvd) to direct clients and guests to the closest available parking for their event.

Overflow Parking Shuttles
The Transportation Division operates a complimentary parking shuttle system for clients and guests who park in our off-site parking lots.  These shuttles are scheduled on an as needed basis per show activity.

Pedicabs
The Transporation Division regulates pedicab/rickshaw services on-site at the OCCC. For information and to apply for a permit, please review the "Pedicab/Rickshaw Application & Information" form.

Taxi Oversight
Taxis are available during normal show event hours. The OCCC taxi pick-up/drop-off sites are located outside of our West, North and South Concourses.

The Transportation Division manages the permitting of all vehicles for hire that operate at the Convention Center.  If you are interested in being a service provider, please review our "Taxi Application & Information" form.

Tour Shuttles/Bus Transportation Notification Form
The Transportation Division coordinates the pick-up and drop-off locations for bus shuttles (tours) not associated with hotel shuttles (provided by show management) or the parking lot shuttles (provided by the OCCC).  All requests for access to the Center (for pick-up and drop-off locations) must be requested through the Transportation Division by accessing our Bus Movement form.  The form may be accessed via the following link "Bus Transportation Notification Form".

VIP Parking
VIP parking areas are located at the West Concourse and North/South parking lot for all those who posses a special VIP parking pass distributed by the Transportation Division.  These passes may be requested through the Show Manager or Event Manager.

ADA (Handicapped) Parking
Complimentary ADA parking spaces are available only at the West Concourse on a first come, first served basis.  All other paid ADA parking spaces are located in West Parking Lots A through D and the North and South parking lots.

Intergovernmental and Private Sector Coordination
The OCCC's Transportation Division works with several governmental agencies including the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Turnpike Enterprise, and the Orange County Public Works Department, as well as several local business entities.  We maintain a seat on the Efficient Transportation for the Community (ETC) Board, which develops strategies for transportation improvements to the Convention Center district and surrounding roadways.
